Reviews for "Untitled"
“ They look like they could be the sweet couple that lives next door, but the sensibilities revealed in their music are a far cry from Ozzie and Harriet. There is a darkly humorous undercurrent that could be sinister if it weren’t so endearing. ”
We're always happy and a bit surprised when people take the time to review our records, then we expect we'll have to physically fight them, but our new record received a couple reviews we thought really got what we're trying to do.
Here's one by Jordan Adams of Seven Days Vermont:
Part Burns and Allen vaudevillians, part genre-hopping songsmiths, Pony Death Ride find humor in practically every corner of human existence
Mike Alvarez from The San Diego Troubadour
It’s all executed with a great deal of skill and flair. They sing well and their comic timing is spot on, they have an easy mastery of the musical styles they selected, and the recording is excellent. They look like they could be the sweet couple that lives next door, but the sensibilities revealed in their music are a far cry from Ozzie and Harriet. There is a darkly humorous undercurrent that could be sinister if it weren’t so endearing.
Here's a video for the 2nd single from our new record. Here's "Where Did All the Ladies Go?"
